Itinerary Day 1: Arrival in Cairo Welcome to Egypt! Upon arrival at the airport in Cairo, meet up with your travel representative, who will assist you through customs and formalities. Then, you will be escorted to your hotel for check-in. Relax after a long day of travel. No Meal Included. Day 2: Day trip to the Pyramids and Egyptian Museum. After breakfast, visit the world-renowned pyramids (Cheops, Khafre, and Menkaure), which are located in the necropolis of Giza. The pyramids and the Sphinx are considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Following the tour of the pyramids and the Sphinx, head to the Egyptian Museum. The richest museum of Egyptian antiques in the world, it contains pharaonic treasures dating more than 5,000 years old. The building is rectangular with a large rotunda on the ground floor containing massive exhibits, including colossal statues of Ramses II—the best views of them can be obtained by looking down from the upper galleries. After the tour, transfer back to the hotel.
